An Epic Day and our first Thousand Miles
We continue to push north. We want to meet up with some family in New York City.
Since we will be back through the east coast two more times we will have plenty of opportunities to see things.
The other day we did a 13.5 hour run of over 100 miles putting over 1000 miles under the keel since we left. Summary of trips below this.
The last couple Relive video's:
A Note on the Neo trip summaries and Marine Traffic AIS:
Sometimes both tools loose connectivity and you will see gaps or that the boat is missing. Nebo will show a straight line if it gets lost. Marine Traffic AIS relies on shore based receivers to collect our broadcasting AIS signal. It will frequently show a last position several hours ago.
Here's the trip summary of the first 1000 miles:
Hi Capt Jim & Dawn! Loved the pics, and vids, and the Reliv vids are very cool! Congrats on your Epic 106 mile day! I saw you've had some high 90 temps, but today the temps in NC are in upper 70's.That's a nice change! How many miles, or hours, will your boat go on the fuel you carry?

DeleteWe hold 300 gallons in 2 tanks. Ran one empty by accident due to inaccurate Guages. Learning. We go between 3 to 4.5 gallons per hour.
And the temperature has been amazing after weeks of heat.
Wow. That's a lot of fuel. At an ave speed of 7 mph, you could go 75 hours on 300 gal. Wow, if both tanks are full that's 2,100 pounds of weight. Do you fill both when you get fuel? I'd guess you dont need to fill both as you have many fuel stations on most of TGL?
DeleteFill both as there is no crossover manifold typical of other cruising boats
